DIRECT TEMPERATURE READOUT TEMPERATURE RANGE
All SUPERTEMP units incorporate a temperature readout to allow the operator temperature monitoring for the proper application of heat for a specific job. SUPERTEMP will adjust over the full range from 150-450°C(300-850°F) without having to change the tip or heating element.
TEMPERATURE STABILITY ISOLATED
A unique electronic control circuit maintains tip temperature to within ±3°C(6°F) of idling (exceeds all military specifications relating to soldering equipment). This is accomplished by embedding the thermocouple sensing unit in the bevel of the heating element barrel so that the tip actually seats against it. This method allows the closest possible monitoring of tip temperature. All SUPERTEMP heating elements are isolated from line transients and spikes by a transformer and operates on 24 volts AC.
SPIKE FREE DESIGN LOCK-OUT FEATURE
SUPERTEMP units exceed all soldering equipment military specifications regarding electro static sensitive devices due to zero voltage switching and a fully grounded tip.
SUPERTEMP is electronically controlled (not magnetic)and there can never be enough voltage or current at the tip to destory electrostatic sensitive devices such as CMOS. Tip leakage is less than 0.4 millivolts.
SUPERTEMP soldering stations are constructed with a lockout feature to allow supervisors the ability to set and lock the stations at a specific temperature. This is accomplished with a special size allen head screw located on the front of the panel.
HEAT-UP AND RECOVERY
The specially insulated nichrome wore heating element is compressed between two layers of stainless steel for ruggedness and is located at the end of the barrel to insure instant heat up and recovery.
